When would I want to use multiple technology cards?

Multiple technology cards are most often used on sites where a system, such as "Time and Attendance", is already in place and uses magnetic stripe or bar code cards. If you want higher security proximity cards for the access control system, existing cards can be replaced by dual-technology proximity cards, the second technology being bar code or magnetic stripe. This is a more convenient alternative to asking employees to carry two cards.
